Check Your PageRank

Pagerank CheckAs a blogger, small business owner and SEO’er-in-training, I’m a little bit obsessed with checking my Google PageRank.  I know it’s not the end all, be all in quantifying progress, but let’s face it, the majority of people use Google and it doesn’t matter how much great information we think we create if noone sees it!

If you’re in the same boat, looking for an easy way to check pagerank, give this site a look.  There is no limit of the number of times or sites you can check. You don’t have to create an account and sign in to use their page rank checker (Hallelujah!)

They also offer copy and paste code to put the pagerank checker button on your own website.  You can incorporate the search bar so you don’t have to go to another site every time you want to check, and give your visitors one more reason to visit and stay on your site. Win-win, I say, and hey, since you’re here you can check yours now from the right sidebar! (shameless, I know.)

Already achieved some PR success and want to flaunt it? They have a generator to create an icon that will show your pagerank as well.

One more feature that really set this site’s tools above others for me was the ability to easily change the aesthetics they offer for their buttons. Even for a non-coder, the code is clean and easy to understand, making it simple to swap out colors and alter sizes.  For me, that’s a really important and a feature I haven’t seen with other, similar services. Check out the PR Checker on the right sidebar – looks like it was built for this site, right?

I’m trying to limit myself on my checks. Knowing that it’s not likely to change by the hour doesn’t seem to prevent me from trying though …

At any rate, this neat little tool at least means I don’t have to leave my site to do it. You can do it right here too … maybe even obsessively …

:-)
